- Things To Fry as you like
Pakora is rather like the Indian part of the worldwide phenomena of deep fried things. It is delicious and I'll just go ahead and claim healthy. Probably. Right? This recipe is just the batter, and really most things can probably be fried in it. We just did vegetables, though.
Things to fry: Cauliflower, Potato, Paneer, Green Chilies, Spinach, Onion
Preparation
Mix all of the ingredients save the cooking oil and the things to fry in a large bowl until it achieves a consistency akin to pancake batter. In a deep frying pan or wok, pour a lot of oil, and heat it up. Cut the things to fry into small, bit sized bits and, one by one, coat them in the batter before placing them gently into the boiling oil. Don't burn off any fingers, that would be bad for flavor. Do not finish cooking the bits, though: once you estimate themto be about halfway done, remove them from the oil and let them cool down some. Now would be a good time for another batch. After they have cooled down, put them back in the oil to finish off the cooking job. This ensures that the insides cook properly. Eat with some spicy ketchup.
